Selling a luxury home

What's different at the high end?

Step 5 of 6

How do I handle a complex negotiation?

The answer

Expect specialty inspections (pool, automation, roof, wine storage), detailed document requests, attorneys on both sides and terms beyond price: furnishings, timelines, contingencies. Thoroughness is respect at this level, not suspicion. Provide documentation freely and negotiate terms calmly; rigidity is what kills high-end deals.

More people at the table and more paper. A good agent and attorney keep it orderly.
