HomeBase is a free real estate education platform operated by Thrive.RealEstate, LLC ("Thrive," "we," "us"). These terms govern your use of the HomeBase website, including the glossary, articles, paths, and any account you create. By using HomeBase, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Education, Not Advice

Everything on HomeBase — every article, glossary term, path and step — is provided for general educational purposes only. It is not, and should not be relied upon as:

• Legal advice. Real estate law varies by state and changes over time. Consult a licensed attorney for your situation.
• Financial, tax, or investment advice. Talk to a qualified financial professional before making decisions.
• An agency relationship. Reading HomeBase content does not make Thrive.RealEstate your real estate broker or agent, and no brokerage relationship is created until you sign a written agreement with us.

Your Account

You may share links to HomeBase pages freely, and quote brief excerpts with attribution. Anything more requires our written permission.

No Warranties

We work hard to keep HomeBase accurate and current, but real estate practices, laws, and market conditions change. HomeBase is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that content is complete, current, or error-free, or that the site will be uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thrive.RealEstate, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of HomeBase, or for decisions you make in reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to HomeBase will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
