Dividing land

Can I split this, and what will it cost?

Step 5 of 6

How do I sell the lots?

The answer

Builders are the main buyers of finished lots, and they buy several at a time; owner-builders and investors take the rest. Price competitively, market with a plat map and the facts (size, utilities, restrictions), and expect lots to sell over months rather than all at once. Recorded covenants help maintain the value of the lots you haven't sold yet.

Lot sales come in waves. Slow markets punish overpricing more than anything else.
