Modification requests include exterior color changes, landscaping modifications, addition of structures, or use changes. Requests require detailed descriptions and often drawings or photos. HOAs evaluate requests against design guidelines and community standards. Rejected requests can be resubmitted with modifications.
Pro Tip
Discuss proposed modifications with the HOA informally before formal submission. Early feedback improves approval chances.
Example
A modification request seeks approval for a new front door color change from brown to black with supporting color swatch.
